Talks between the two clubs are progressing but Lenglet is still to undergo his medical.
The French defender has made 160 appearances for Barca since joining them from Sevilla in 2018.
The then-23-year-old joined the Spanish giants in a €35million (around £30m) deal, having impressed in La Liga for his former club.
The centre-back has also made 15 caps for France and will be hoping to break back into the national team with regular game time in north London.
Lenglet made just seven starts for Barcelona last season, as they finished second in the Spanish top-flight - 13 points behind rivals Real Madrid.
He has won one La Liga title during his time in Spain, and he'll be hoping for a Premier League trophy to add to his trophy cabinet when he joins Spurs.
He would join Richarlison, Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma, and Fraser Forster who have all already joined Spurs, with Middlesbrough's Djed Spence also close to signing.
There are also reports that Spurs could sign another centre-back from Spain's top-flight, with Villarreal's Pau Torres on their radar.
It's claimed they could target the 25-year-old, as well as Lenglet, with Giovani Lo Celso potentially being used as a makeweight in the deal.
