Neymar targeted by fat-shaming trolls again after footage shows star's return

The Brazilian is recovering after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus while playing for Brazil in a 2026 World Cup qualifier against Uruguay in October.

The 32-year-old made an £88million switch from Paris Saint-Germain to Al-Hilal last summer but managed just five appearances for the Saudi Pro League club before picking up the injury.

Neymar's lack of action has seen the star subjected to bullying by fans online who accused him of putting on weight.

Last month, Neymar took to Instagram to share snippets of his gym session before posting a selfie video hitting back at trolls.

"I don't think so. S*** it, haters," before lifting up his t-shirt to reveal his stomach.

As part of his ongoing recovery, Neymar has returned to Saudi Arabia to undergo individual training with his club.

But that hasn't stopped fans from aiming further jibes at the Brazilian after a video clip showed him training while kitted out in Al-Hilal training wear.

A fuller-looking Neymar is seen working hard with a fitness coach and in a separate clip he is deep in conversation with teammate and ex-Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

"It is very important to have the time it takes for the body to build that ligament. The expectation is that after this time, he will have recovered at a high level."
