United will be hoping to have Ronaldo available for the clash at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese star returned from international duty early in order to get himself acquainted with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his squad ahead of the weekend's match.

Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho is a doubt after being sent home from England duty through injury, while Marcus Rashford is continuing his recovery following a shoulder injury.

Isaac Hayden could return to the Newcastle team following a knee injury picked up last month.
