Newport sign Luke Jephcott from St Johnstone

"I'm very happy to be here," Luke told the club website.

"I'm glad we got it over the line so quickly as well. I'm really looking forward to getting going. I've heard it's a fantastic group of boys, so just can't wait to get in amongst it."

Manager Graham Coughlan added: "Luke brings us quality and a wealth of experience, not only in League Two but in League One as well.

"Luke spent time at Plymouth Argyle and Swindon before moving to Scotland and St Johnstone. I've known him for a while and have recognised his qualities for a long time, so I think it's a great addition to the squad.

"He's eager to get going, he'll strengthen our front-line and we really look forward to working with Luke in the future."

Nathan Lowe signs new four-and-a-half-year Stoke deal

"It has been a great year but I am solely focused on writing the next chapter," he said.

"It is nice to reflect, and the feeling of scoring the winner at Bristol City was indescribable. It is an emotion I am determined to experience again and again.

"I am so hungry for more opportunities and to impress every time I get onto the pitch.

"I firmly believe in the opportunity I have here and I am looking forward to seeing where the journey takes me next."
