On MD5 against Benfica, Samuel Iling-Junior became the first Englishman to appear in major European competition for Juventus since David Platt in the 1992-93 UEFA Cup. With an assist, he also became the youngest player (19 years, 21 days) to assist on UEFA Champions League debut since Giovanni Reyna in February 2020, who was 17.
Lionel Messi has been involved in seven goals in his four group stage appearances (4 goals, 3 assists) in this season's UEFA Champions League for PSG, his best tally in a group stage since 2018-19 (also seven), with the Argentinian last having more in 2016-17 at Barcelona (10 goals, 2 assists). He's never previously provided more than three assists in a season at the group stage.
Kylian Mbappé has scored six UEFA Champions League group stage goals this season for PSG; the only player with more in a single campaign for the club is Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2013-14 (eight goals). The only Frenchman with more was Christopher Nkunku last season for RB Leipzig (seven).
Excluding own goals, since the start of last season 26 of Paris Saint-Germain's 28 goals in the UEFA Champions League have been either scored or assisted (or both) by Lionel Messi, Neymar or Kylian Mbappé, including each of the last 20 in a row. Before Carlos Soler's goal against Maccabi Haifa, PSG's last 19 goals (excl. own goals) in the competition were scored by Messi (6), Neymar (2) and Mbappé (11).
Juventus are looking to avoid becoming only the second Italian side to lose five matches in a single UEFA Champions League group stage, after Roma in 2004-05 (P6 D1 L5).
After progressing from eight consecutive UEFA Champions League group stages, Juventus have been eliminated from this season's tournament. It's the first time since 2013-14 they will not participate in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Juventus have lost four UEFA Champions League group stage matches this season, the very first time they've lost four in a single group stage. Juve have only ever lost five matches in one Champions League season, losing five in 2002-03 (one in first group stage, three in second group stage, one in semi-final).
PSG are winless in all four away matches in European competition against Juventus, with this their first visit since the second leg of the 1996 European Supercup in February 1997, losing 3-1 under Ricardo Gomes.
