The 2021 Globe Soccer Awards ceremony takes place from 15:30 GMT this Monday, December 27, and some of the players up for the big prizes include Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Robert Lewandowski, Cristiano Ronaldo, Jenni Hermoso and Alexia Putellas.
As the official newspaper for the Globe Soccer Awards, MARCA are playing a prominent role in the process, although the finalists were chosen after a vote that saw five million fans take part.
Voting to decide the winners officially closed on December 20, and today we will see which players, coaches and directors take home the awards.

16:15 GMT - Best eSports Player of the Year
Currently an Xbox player for Team Falcons, Mossad was the 2018 FIFA World Champion at the age of 18, and the first player to win a double World Championship in a year.
16:10 GMT - Best Youth Academy in Africa
ZED FC's U13 and U11 teams are performing above expectation and currently occupy 1st position in their respective groups in the Egyptian Youth Premier League, making them the ideal choice for the Best Youth Academy in Africa award.
15:30 GMT: The show is underway
Kylian Mbappe and Robert Lewandowski are on stage for a little interview before the awards are handed out.
Mbappe: "Every two years it will become normal to play a World Cup, and it should not be like that. In the end, we'll play 60 games a year, Euros, World Cup, Nations League... we like to play, but it is too much. If the people want see quality, I think we have to have a break."
Lewandowski: "We have many games in a year, tough weeks. If you want to give something different to the fans, you need a break. We have to look to the future, if we want to play a World Cup every two years, the level goes down. It is impossible for the body and the mind give the same level."
Mbappe: "I'm a lucky guy. I play for a great team and a great national team. I want to keep winning, because otherwise someone will take your place. I want to continue winning titles for my national team and my club."
Lewandowski: "At my age I think I can play at the highest level for a couple more years. The mentality I have is to keep having good years for as long as possible."

Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United), Karim Benzema (Real Madrid), Robert Lewandowski (Bayern), Kylian Mbappe (PSG), Lionel Messi (PSG) and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) are the six candidates for the Best Male Player of the Year award.
Jennifer Hermoso (Barcelona), Alexia Putellas (Barcelona), Alex Morgan (Orlando Pride), Sam Kerr (Chelsea), Lieke Martens (Barcelona) and Lucy Bronze (Manchester City) are up for the Best Female Player of the Year award.
Spanish candidates
Across 12 categories, there are several Spaniards who are up for a Globe Soccer Award. Atletico Madrid are up for the Best Men's Club along with Al Ahly, Al Hilal, Chelsea, Flamengo and Manchester City.
Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea) is competing for the Best Defender award, while Txiki Begiristain and Roberto Olabe are up for the Best Sporting Director prize.
