Hazard announced his retirement from football on Tuesday at the age of just 32 following a frustrating period of injuries during his spell with Real Madrid.
A host of injuries shrouded his time in the Spanish capital with hamstring, ankle and knee complaints restricting him to just 72 appearances in four years.
His early retirement has led to fans digging out an old interview from the Special One who questioned Hazard's treatment from opposing players and a perceived lack of protection from Premier League referees.
In the interview, Mourinho hinted that the Belgian's mistreatment could see Hazard bow out of the game prematurely.
"People that are in love with football in this country must be in love with Eden Hazard," the Portuguese explained.
