Salah's 11pm post sums up Liverpool star's dedication to being the best

Mo Salah has highlighted, once again, his relentless dedication to being the best after he posted a photo of himself on social media late on Saturday night.

Earlier in the day the Liverpool forward had provided the assist for Divock Origi, who scored a 94th minute winner at Wolves.

Salah has been in sensational form this term, scoring 19 times in all competitions.

His appetite for goals has been clear throughout his time at Anfield, but this term he appears to have gone up a level.

The Egyptian posted a photo of himself on Instagram swimming at 11pm, holding up the peace sign to his followers.

It is not the first time this season that the Liverpool star has been doing extras late at night.

Following Liverpool's 3-2 win over AC Milan in September, in which he scored, Salah posted a similar photo, this time at 3am.

Despite the 29-year-old's efforts he was ranked seventh in the 2021 Ballon d'Or list, which came as a surprise to many.

Salah was ranked below winner Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski, Jorginho, N'Golo Kante, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Jurgen Klopp himself made his feeings clear, saying: "I was surprised about his position.

"Journalists vote for the Ballon d'Or so... if you think he should be higher up, you should convince your colleagues!

"You can always give it to Lionel Messi for the career he's had, but if you don't give it to Robert Lewandowski this time, then he will never get it.

"And Mo should have been higher up, definitely."

Salah will play a key role if Liverpool are to regain their Premier League crown.

The Reds were unable to mount a meaningful defence of their title last term as they were hampered by injuries.

Their win at Molineux took them top momentarily to the summit, moving above Chelsea and champions Manchester City, before Pep Guardiola's men won at Watford and replaced the Reds.

Salah tweeted after the win at Wolves: "It's in our hands".

Klopp will be desperately fearing the upcoming period for which the Egyptian will head off to the Africa Cup of Nations to represent his country.

The German though is confident that an agreement can be reached for Salah to stay on Merseyside for the crucial festives clashes against Chelsea and Leicester.

"It's not decided yet. I am an optimistic person, so I hope so, but it's not written in stone and not completely in our hands," he said.
