Erling Haaland is set to join City from Borussia Dortmund with widespread reports confirming the mega-money deal is as good as done.
Guardiola has been after a new forward for some time and will now be able to call upon one of Europe's best next season.
Haaland, who will turn 22 years old in July, has already enjoyed a prolific career, scoring 134 goals in 165 games over the last seven seasons with Molde, Red Bull Salzburg and, most recently, Dortmund.
City have a well-documented recent history in spending big on transfers and shelled out £100million to land Jack Grealish from Aston Villa last summer.
Haaland is now set to join the list of their top ten priciest signings with the Etihad giants triggering his £64million release clause.
That amount puts the Norwegian ace third on City's all-time most expensive deals, a list which includes the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Ruben Dias and Riyad Mahrez.
But who else makes the top ten?
