The Blues were victorious in the inaugural Premier League Series after securing a 2-0 victory over Fulham on Sunday in Washington DC.
But while the trophy itself might not be enough to get supporters excited about the potential glory coming their way, the sight of a potential new skipper might just do it.
Veteran defender Thiago Silva, who skippered the side in the first half, was on hand to lift the trophy however it was Reece James who held the captain's armband at full-time and therefore lifted the club's first piece of silverware in two years.
The England defender is a key man for the Blues having made 147 appearances for the club since becoming a first team regular in 2019.
As well as being a top performer on the pitch, the 23-year-old has emerged as a real leader in the Chelsea dressing room and a popular figure as well, making him one of the club's natural leaders.
