Liverpool recorded their first win of pre-season on Friday as goals from Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah earned a 2-0 success over Crystal Palace in Singapore.
New signings Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez both featured, although the latter has received an unearthed amount of criticism for his performance. Calvin Ramsey, who became the Reds' third signing of the transfer window last month, has not travelled on their pre-season tour due to injury.
The arrival of Ramsey, however, has reportedly ended the Reds' incoming business this summer. Meanwhile, Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino, Divock Origi and Loris Karius have all departed Liverpool. Although it may seem like the Reds are in line for a quiet final month or so to the window, they continue to be linked with midfielders while one player could be on his way out.
So, with that in mind, MirrorSport takes a look at the latest Liverpool transfer gossip.
Rangers 'agree' Davies deal
Rangers have agreed a deal with Liverpool to sign centre-back Ben Davies in a deal worth around £4m, according to reports.
Davies is being targeted by Rangers as a potential replacement for the outbound Calvin Bassey. The latter is edging closer to a move to Ajax, who will replace Lisandro Martinez after he completed his move to Manchester United.
Davies has struggled for first-team game time at the Reds since his move from Preston North End in January 2021 and even spent last season on loan at Sheffield United. The chances of Davies having a future at Liverpool are slim, with Ibrahima Konate, Joel Matip, Virgil van Djik, Joe Gomez, Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams all above him in the pecking order at the Reds.
A move away from the club may be best for all parties, and Davies can look to revive his career in Scotland. He would be replacing Bassey, who was excellent for The Gers last term as they reached the Europa League final.
Reds 'still interested' in Lille midfielder
News has emerged in the past week that Liverpool are one of a number of clubs who are monitoring the situation of Lille midfielder Amadou Onana this summer, with a potential view to signing the 20-year-old after an impressive campaign for the Ligue 1 side.
And the latest reports have revealed that the Reds are 'still interested' in signing the Belgian international this summer, with The Athletic stating that Liverpool remain as one of his strongest 'admirers' as things stand, despite Jurgen Klopp insisting he doesn't need another midfielder.
The German boss already has a large number of options at his disposal in the middle of the park ahead of the upcoming season, but he could be tempted into making one more signing this summer should he feel that Onana could present him with better quality in their pursuit of the Premier League title.
Phillips drops hint over future
Liverpool defender and popular figure Nat Phillips is still holding his own and fighting for his place at Anfield this summer. That is despite him being fifth-choice centre back and many assuming the 26-year-old would move on ahead of next season in search of regular game time.
Phillips enjoyed a successful loan spell at Bournemouth in the second half of the most recent campaign, in which he made 17 Championship appearances for the Cherries as they secured promotion back to the Premier League, but nothing has come of it with regards to an exit from the Reds.
And Phillips may have just dropped a hint over his future after being asked what his personal goals are for this pre-season. He told Liverpool media: "Get a good pre-season in me, same as always; work hard and make sure I've got a good foundation for the season that's coming up. At the end of pre-season see where I'm at."
