Former Barcelona central midfielder Yaya Toure has surprisingly offered to help out his old side in whatever way he can as they aim to turn the tide after a disastrous start to the season.
The Ivorian spent three years at the Camp Nou between 2007-2010, winning two La Liga titles as well as the 2009 Champions League before upping sticks to Manchester City.
Toure, like a number of club legends, has explained how sad he is over the predicament the Catalan outfit find themselves in.
As a result, he took to twitter to publicly declare his love for his former team just hours before they suffered yet another La Liga defeat at the hands of title rivals Atletico Madrid.
Toure wrote: "My time at FC Barcelona was one of the best memories of my playing career.
"The club has decided to trust me when I was still a young player, yet to establish myself in the top leagues. I will forever be grateful to the club for what they have done for me."
The former City star went on, writing: "It may be a difficult time for the club but my belief for Barcelona is strong, I will always be available for the club should they need me anytime as my heart is forever with the club, the people and the fans!"
Barcelona find themselves in the midst of one of the worst periods financially in the club's history, recording over £1billion in debt - a reason behind Lionel Messi's controversial departure after 21 years at the club.
The strain on Barca's finances also meant they were unable to keep hold of striker Antoine Griezmann - the Frenchman instead returning to Atletico Madrid on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
Things have hardly fared much better on the pitch, Barcelona enduring their worst ever start to a Champions League campaign with two 3-0 defeats from their opening two group games.
Toure's offer comes as somewhat of a shock given he only called time on his playing days last year and his coaching career is very much in its infancy.

The ex-Man City midfielder is currently the assistant manager of Russian Premier League side Akhmat Grozny, his only prior experience coming as the assistant of Olimpik Donetsk.
The 38-year-old's interest comes at a time when current Barca boss Ronald Koeman is facing serious speculation over whether his long-term future remains at the Camp Nou.
In the wake of the recent 3-0 defeat at the hands of Benfica, Koeman appeared despondent as he conceded: "I'm not going to argue about the level of my team. There's no point in comparing this with Barcelona teams of years gone by. That's as clear as water.
"I can only give you my opinion of my work at the club - I feel backed by my players and their attitude.
"The rest, the club, I'm not sure...I can't say any more, because I don't know what the club thinks in that sense. It's not in my hands."
