Nightmare for Mings, beaten by Spurs and then accused of 'missing team bus'

It never rains, but it pours for some, and Sunday was certainly a day to forget for Aston Villa and England defender Tyrone Mings.

The Villa captain wasn't able to stop Tottenham scoring twice in the 2-1 defeat and then appeared to have been left behind at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Or had he?

In a video shared on Twitter, Mings appeared outside the ground in his tracksuit, with a suitcase, and was speaking animatedly on his mobile phone.

The video was shared by James Welham (@WelhamOfficial), much to the onlookers amusement, after Spurs' victory over the Villans.

But a number of observers pointed out that Mings may have merely been waiting for alternative transport to join England training at St George's Park, ahead of the World Cup qualifiers.
