Son of ex-Premier League striker scores four goals in incredible comeback win

When it comes to some of the best-ever comebacks, obvious games spring to mind.

Manchester United's stunning 2-1 win over Bayern Munich in 1999 is right up there.

And what about Liverpool's sensational Champions League final win against AC Milan, having been 3-0 down at half-time in 2005?

Then there was Newcastle salvaging a draw against Arsenal in 2011 despite being 4-0 behind at the break.

But now another game can be added to that list, albeit it may well have gone under the radar given it involved two academy sides.

Nevertheless, the players in Sheffield Wednesday's under-18s side can surely lay claim to one of the best comeback wins they are ever likely to be involved in.

The Owls' youngsters were playing Crewe on Saturday and sealed a scarcely-believable 6-5 win - despite being 5-1 down at half-time!

The star of the show was undoubtedly Bailey Cadamarteri. If that surname rings a bell it is because he is the son of former Premier League striker Danny.

Danny, now aged 41, was a product of the Everton academy and was a regular for the Toffees in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

He went on to represent the likes of Bradford, Huddersfield and Dundee United before moving into coaching.

Bailey, aged just 16, has been impressing at Hillsborough and his four-goal salvo at the weekend will only enhance his growing reputation.

Cadamarteri junior notched early on to give Wednesday the lead but Crewe turned on the style and somehow found themselves 5-1 up at the interval.

But what was to follow was a quite breathtaking comeback. Wednesday produced a goal blitz to get back into it before Cadamarteri's impressive finish sealed the 11th and crucial strike of a goal-laden affair.

The youngster joined Wednesday's academy at the age of just eight and such is his rapid progress that he is already a regular member of the club's under-23s squad.

Earlier today he came on as a substitute in a defeat at home to Barnsley.
