Premier League 100 club: Mohamed Salah moves into top 10 of all-time scorers list

sportsmole.co.uk, 10 December 2023, 21:07
Mohamed Salah wrote his name further into the Premier League history books with his goal against Crystal Palace on Saturday, levelling things up before Liverpool went on to record yet another come-from-behind win to climb to the top of the table.

Salah's goal was his 200th for the club, becoming only the fifth player in their history to reach that significant milestone, while it was also his 150th in the Premier League.

Only four players have ever got to that total in fewer games, while he is only the 11th player in total to reach 150 goals in the competition, moving level with Michael Owen's Premier League tally.

Salah's superior goals-per-game ratio compared to Owen lifts him into the top 10 greatest goalscorers in Premier League history, with Jermain Defoe - on 162 goals - next in his sights.

There was also a goal for Son Heung-min in Tottenham Hotspur's convincing victory over Newcastle United, lifting him level with Ian Wright's tally.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest standings in the Premier League 100 club following this weekend's action.
