Brentford transfer news: AC Milan join Borussia Dortmund in race for Brentford attacker?

As a result of his impressive performances, the former Freiburg man has been linked with a return to the Bundesliga amid reported interest from German giants Borussia Dortmund.

Milan to rival Dortmund for Schade

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Dortmund could face competition for Schade from Italian giants AC Milan.

The Serie A club are said to 'appreciate' the Brentford forward, although they are unlikely to make a move before next week's deadline.

Instead, the Rossoneri appear to have identified the Germany international as a potential target for the summer transfer window.

The update also claims that Schade remains high on Dortmund's shortlist, suggesting they could step up their interest if Karim Adeyemi leaves the club before the transfer window shuts.

Could Brentford's asking price be an issue?

While Schade may be attracting interest, his potential suitors have work to do if they are to prise him away from the Gtech Community Stadium.

Brentford are under no immediate pressure to sanction a departure, with Schade under contract with the Bees until the summer of 2028.

As a result, it would take a significant fee for the Premier League club to consider parting ways with the attacker.

Providing there are no developments in the next few days, Schade is likely to start Sunday's Premier League home meeting with Tottenham Hotspur.
