The Italian had previously spent two seasons in England where won the the title and the FA Cup for Spurs' arch rivals Chelsea and now will be tasked with ending the north London club's long trophy drought.
Ahead of their Champions League tie against Club Brugge, Man City manager Pep Guardiola had some kind words to say about his counterpart.
"First of all, welcome back to England, to the Premier League," the Spaniard told reporters.
"His career speaks perfectly for itself. He has had success everywhere. An absolutely outstanding manager."
Having come up against Conte in his first two seasons in charge, Guardiola will be relishing the challenge again.
Both have tasted success against each other, it was the Italian who landed the first blow having secured the double in 2016/17 however the City manager fought back the following season to also secure victories both home and away.
Speaking to the media ahead of their match against Atletico Madrid, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was also full of praise for the former Inter and Juventus boss.
"He's a huge manager in world football with what he has achieved.
"I am sure he will make his mark on the Spurs squad and get them competing on the highest level, another big manager in the Premier League."
Similar to Guardiola, Henderson also has good memories of coming up against Conte's side.
In the Italian's debut season, the England international netted a stunning goal in Liverpool's 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge which handed Conte his first home defeat of the season.
