The former Chelsea manager has signed an 18-month contract to replace Nuno Espirito Santo in north London.
After the longevity of Mauricio Pochettino, Conte will now be the fourth man to take charge of the club in 2021 and chairmanr Daniel Levy will desperately hope he is the last for a while.
What should give Spurs optimism though is his track record at former clubs having won major honours at Chelsea, Juventus and most recently, Inter Milan.
For the players however, they are set to be put through their paces as Conte will demand nothing but maximum effort.
"He was a winning coach starting from the first day, now it is a little bit different because he has arrived in a place where it will take a little bit longer to explain his philosophy," Roberto Bettega told talkSPORT.
"Antonio is a man who, as a player was very tough, very combative. I think he will do very well."
A key factor in Conte's arrival at Spurs was managing director of football Fabio Paratici.
The duo worked closely together during a spell at Juventus, which proved to be extremely successful as Conte won the Scudetto in three consecutive seasons.
"They know each other very well, of course," added Bettega. "They know what he wants, what they want.
"I think that it could be useful and could be nice, not just for Conte, for Paratici and even for the team, for Tottenham.
"We are talking about a new team, a new place that usually you have to make a team and it won't be so easy for Antonio of course.
"He is a fighter really, he knows what he wants, I hope for him everything will go well."
