The Arsenal shot-stopper was selected for the clash with Hungary that ended with the Three Lions being beaten 4-0 at Molineux.
While certainly not the only player to come in for criticism, Ramsdale didn't help matters with some questionable goalkeeping that will have done little to convince Southgate that he's the man to wear the gloves going into the World Cup later this year.
Jordan Pickford is the current favourite to be England's number one in Qatar and, after attracting criticism in the past from supporters, Mills believes that Ramsdale got off lightly.
He told White and Jordan: "There was a massive call for Aaron Ramsdale to become England's number one.
"Not on last night's showing he's not. All of those people have disappeared.
"If Pickford would have let that first goal in he'd have been slaughtered this morning. Everyone would say 'a top goalkeeper saves that, he got a hand on it but should have saved it'.
"You're not hearing that about Aaron Ramsdale."
However responding to Mills' comments, Simon Jordan wasn't so sure.
He said: "I don't know about that.
"I think that people's reaction to Aaron Ramsdale was that he could have done a lot better.
"I don't think that people have been shouting 'Aaron Ramsdale in', but shouting for him to be in the conversation."
