Goals from Ibanez and Lorenzo Pellegrini saw Mourinho's side beat Cagliari 2-1, but the manager was not in the dugout.
The 58-year-old was sent off in the 0-0 draw with Napoli after picking up two yellow cards for dissent.
Although Mourinho had to watch from the stands, and looked pretty unhappy to be there rather than the dugout, his side came through for the three points.
The win was an important one for Roma as it kept them fourth in the table and nine points off league leaders AC Milan.
But as well as not being allowed in the stands, the Special One also wasn't allowed in his team's dressing room.
And it led to Mourinho having a lonely dinner on a set of steps within the stadium after the game.
He wrote: "Game over… 3 points… Nice food (can't go to dressing room) and one more kid @ohenegyanfelix_."
That special praise was reserved for 18-year-old Ghanaian youngster Felix Afena-Gyan, who made his debut against Cagliari.
It will be a big boost for Roma and Mourinho after his side suffered an embarrassing 6-1 defeat in the Europa Conference League against Bodo/Glimt.
That was then followed by a point against Napoli, which was a good result in tough circumstances with the Portuguese sent to the stands.
He shared a video of himself trying to coach the team from the stands and climbing over a barrier to bark instructions at his players.
Mourinho posted: "When you have no ticket and you desperately want to watch a great football game."
He has also been accused of creating an 'uncomfortable situation' at Roma after ostracising a number of players.
The former Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham boss dropped Amadou Diawara, Borja Mayoral, Gonzalo Villar and Bryan Reynolds from his squad for the next two games.
Diawara's agent Daniele Piraino said: "I don't understand the message he's trying to get across.
"Is Diawara being made a scapegoat? Is he being made to pay a heavy price for an error? Or is an attempt to force the club into acting in the transfer market?
"If it is for these reasons, rather than just poor fitness, or he feels the player is unable to understand the tactical requirements of the coach, then I think Mourinho is creating an uncomfortable situation.
"It is inexplicable but Diawara will adapt. Amadou is an exceptional professional."
