Emerson has made 101 competitive appearances since joining Tottenham from Spanish side Real Betis in the summer of 2021.
The 25-year-old has seemingly enjoyed his time in North London, but he is believed to be open to a departure due to his lack of playing time.
Emerson was unable to force his way into Ange Postecoglou's plans last season and ultimately had to settle for 11 starts in 22 Premier League appearances.
The Brazilian still proved to be a useful member of the squad, playing across the backline at different stages of the season.
Emerson comments on Milan interest
However, he is now keen to establish himself as a first-team regular, which is something he will struggle to get at Tottenham due to Pedro Porro's presence at right-back.
Emerson has now confirmed that Milan have held talks with Tottenham while indicating that he would be interested in joining the Rossoneri.
"The truth is that I still don't have anything defined," Emerson told Andre Hernan. "Obviously, to know that Milan is in conversation with the club [Spurs], they are looking for information on me.
"For me, it is very gratifying because Milan is a team known for having Brazilian players, right. We know there have been some great Brazilians to have played for them. Let's wait and see what's going to happen."
Would Emerson get regular playing time at Milan?
Milan are believed to be looking to recruit a new right-back to replace Alessandro Florenzi, who is expected to be sold this summer.
However, Emerson will not be guaranteed a regular spot because he would still have to compete with Davide Calabria for a starting berth under new Milan manager Paulo Fonseca.
There is also a long way to go before a deal can be done after football.london recently reported that Milan are yet to start formal talks with Tottenham.
Emerson, who is under contract until June 2026, is also a target for Brazilian club Flamengo as well as teams in the Saudi Pro League.
With Emerson facing an uncertain future, Spurs have identified Monaco full-back Vanderson as a potential replacement.
