Greenwood's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with his time at Old Trafford widely expected to come to an end on a permanent basis this summer.
The 22-year-old, having been told that he had no future at Old Trafford last year, made the move to Getafe on loan, and he scored 10 times and registered six assists in 36 appearances for the Spanish outfit last term.
Getafe president Angel Torres has hinted that his team are confident of securing the services of Greenwood for another season, but Man United are still thought to be planning to sell him, as his departure would represent pure profit in the Premier League's rules surrounding profit and sustainability.
Lazio are also being heavily linked with the Englishman, who has not represented Man United since January 2022 due to off-the-field issues.
Man United 'could be offered Chiesa for Greenwood'
Little over two years ago, following accusations from a woman, Greenwood was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault, and he was then further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill.
The Red Devils academy product was also facing charges of attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, but the case against him was officially dropped last February.
Earlier this year, Man United's new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe hinted at a possible return for Greenwood this summer, but the club have allegedly now made the decision to sell him.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus want to sign Greenwood but are not prepared to pay Man United's asking price, which is believed to be around £40m.
The report claims that the Old Lady are instead considering offering Chiesa to Erik ten Hag's side, with the Italy international only having 12 months left to run on his contract.
Would Chiesa be a good signing for Man United?
Chiesa is currently with the Italy squad at Euro 2024, and he entered the tournament off the back of scoring 10 goals and registering three assists in 39 appearances for Juventus last season.
The 26-year-old has scored 32 goals and registered 23 assists in 131 appearances for the Old Lady, while he has managed seven goals and eight assists in 49 caps for Italy.
With Man United seemingly determined to get rid of Greenwood, Chiesa represents an interesting option for the 20-time English champions considering his age and quality.
The forward scored twice for his country during their Euro 2020 triumph, and he has a lot of experience operating at the highest level.
Man United are also expected to move Jadon Sancho on this summer, while Facundo Pellistri could also leave, so Chiesa could be an incredibly smart signing for Ten Hag's team.
