The BBC pundit was discussing the drama from the weekend as Erling Haaland gave up his penalty duty to allow Ilkay Gundogan a chance to score from the spot.

The German international needed just one more goal to get a hat-trick against Leeds United, leading Haaland to give him the ball.
Typically, Gundogan missed his spot kick, leaving Pep Guardiola furious that his assigned penalty taker had not taken the kick - something that could have backfired with the match finishing 2-1.

Haaland is a lethal goalscorer having scored 51 times already this season, but he has a long way to go if he's to catch Shearer at the top of the Premier League charts.
The Newcastle forward scored 260 times in the the top flight during his career and the striker showed exactly how ruthless he was when recalling an incident with a teammate.
Speaking on Match Of The Day, Shearer said: "I don't care if it's 2-0 or 7-0, if you're the penalty-taker you've got to go and take the penalty."
He then recalled his own experience of being asked to give up a penalty, saying: "We were winning 7-0 against Sheffield Wednesday at home.

"I'd already scored four and we got another penalty with a few minutes left and a young kid came on, Paul Robinson, and asked me in a polite way, 'can I have the penalty'.
"You can imagine my response, it ended with 'off!'"
