Of course their opponents might be comparative minnows in the terms of the football pyramid, however, with Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in charge, there's certain appeal for American fans to come and see the Red Dragons in action.
Tickets for the pre-season clash cost a significant amount, with the cheapest tickets costing £182.

Meanwhile, the most expensive seats will set you back around £325 - a staggering sum for a friendly clash involving United's academy stars and fringe players.
While many fans attending will be based in the US, the ticket prices have not gone down well with supporters in the UK who would have to add the cost to the price of flights and hotels.
One supporter wrote, "The ticket prices are ridiculous", while another simply said: "Utterly insane".
Another said: "Wrexham vs #ManchesterUnited tickets prices are wild. Ticketmaster be bugging," with anther fan describing the prices as 'absurd'.

Despite the prices, Reynolds and McElhenney are doing all they can to promote the fixture, including a Hollywood-style trailer with Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Wrexham owners sat down for a staged chat with the United legend, saying that they were 'super nervous' to meet 'the greatest football manager of all time'.
Upon starting the call, they were met by Ferguson's stern glare, something that they put down to 'mind games'.
However it subsequently turned out that their microphone was on mute and so Ferguson didn't hear a word of what was said.
There's no doubting that Reynolds and McElhenney are bring a fresh humour to football, but it might take a while for fans to see the funny side of such ticket prices.
