Bielsa's is expected to be given a deal which will run until the end of the 2026 South American World Cup qualifiers, with an option of a further year.

Bielsa had been linked with replacing Frank Lampard as Everton boss, but he turned down their proposals and the club decided to recruit ex-Burnley boss Sean Dyche.
As Leeds looked destined for relegation, Bielsa was given his marching orders, with Jesse Marsch his successor.
However, the American has since been sacked just 12 months into his reign, with former Watford boss Javi Gracia now at the helm.
