Arsenal have enjoyed a busy summer transfer window, but Mikel Arteta appears to be a long way from completing his business.
Matt Turner, Marquinhos, Fabio Vieira and Gabriel Jesus have all arrived at the Emirates Stadium as Arteta looks to rally his troops following a disappointing end to last season. But the Spaniard is still keen to boost his squad with new signings.
That is particularly the case in midfield, where Arteta has reportedly resurrected his interest in Leicester star Youri Tielemans. The Belgian has been a long-term target of Arsenal's, though it was thought that they had cooled their interest in him following the signing of Vieira.
But it now appears that a potential move for Tielemans has been reignited, with Arteta still unhappy with his midfield options. According to The Sun, the Gunners are now ready to submit a firm offer for the 25-year-old.
With his contract at the King Power expiring next summer, they are said to be confident of sealing a £30million move for the midfielder. Arteta has been given the 'green light' to make his move for Tielemans, which he hopes can strengthen his midfield options.
The resurrection of that interest means that Arteta appears to be listening to the advice of former star Jack Wilshere. The former midfielder is currently without a club after leaving Danish side Aarhaus.

But he has continued to offer his thoughts on Arsenal 's transfer window, with the 30-year-old being linked with a return to the club as a coach. One of the pieces of advice that he gave was for Arsenal to shun a move for Ruben Neves and instead target Tielemans.
"Ruben Neves is more of technician whereas with Tielemans you get a little bit more drive, a little bit more energy going forward. If I was to pick one to go to Arsenal, looking at Arsenal's midfield and what they could add to improve them, I would probably take Tielemans," Wilshere told talkSPORT last month.
Arteta's decision may have been made for him, with The Sun claiming that Wolves ' valuation of Neves was far too high for the Gunners to consider a serious move. But it also means that it has taken a month for Arteta to finally listen to Wilshere and make a firm move for Tielemans.
The Belgian has starred for Leicester since joining them from Monaco and is regarded as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. He would certainly add much to the Gunners' midfield options, which currently do not appear to be much improved from last season.
If Arsenal are able to complete their move for Tielemans as they expect, it will certainly be a huge boost to Arteta's hopes of returning his side to the top four. Last year's agonising fifth-place finish has appeared to drive the Gunners boss in a renewed drive to improve his options across his squad.
