Williamson was named in Arsenal's squad to face Reading in the WSL Cup on Wednesday night after a nightmare year with injuries, and the fans in attendance were quick to show their appreciation.
The 26-year-old suffered ligament damage to her knee in April, forcing her to miss England's World Cup campaign in 2023.
But she made an emotional return to football after coming on as a late substitution in the FA WSL Cup against Reading to rapturous applause from those at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
And just moments later she contributed to Arsenal's fifth goal of the evening, clipping a ball over the top to Beth Mead, who brilliantly fired the ball into the net from the edge of the box.
It took Williamson just minutes to get herself the assist while Arsenal were already 5-0 at the time.
