Tottenham consider Nuno's future as Paulo Fonseca moves into frame

Tottenham are considering the future of Nuno Espirito Santo - and could replace him with one-time target Paulo Fonseca.

The north Londoners have been rocked by the backlash against the former Wolves boss in the wake of their 3-0 home surrender to Manchester United.

Spurs have lost three of their last four games in all competitions while Nuno has lost the confidence of the club's fans and several members of the squad.

Supporters chanted: 'We want Nuno out' on Saturday while his Portuguese's decision to take off Lucas Moura was also openly booed.

Fonseca, among the favourites for the Newcastle job, could find himself back in the frame for Spurs should they wield the axe.

The Magpies have yet to decide on a new manager, despite sacking Steve Bruce on October 20.
