The Red Devils icon did admit though his former teammate will find it strange not hearing the famous anthem on a Tuesday or Wednesday night if they finish outside the top four.
Ferdinand played alongside Ronaldo at Old Trafford between 2003 and 2009 when they were one of the most fearsome teams in Europe.
In that spell they won the Champions League, three Premier Leagues, one FA Cup and two League Cups.
Now though, the 20-time league winners are a considerable distance from reaching those same heights, and will now go five years without any silverware after being knocked out of this season's Champions League.
Ronaldo, who rejoined Man United in the summer of 2021 will be far from happy with the state his current side are in.
There were even rumours that he wanted to quit the club at the end of this season if they failed to qualify for Europe's premier competition.
But more recent claims have suggested he will remain, and Ferdinand also believes that will be the case.
"I can't see him leaving, I've got to be honest with you, even if Man United don't finish in the top four," the former United captain said on White and Jordan.
"I think Cristiano has to deal with [Man] United for another year.
"Yes he wants to compete, he has that burning desire to want to win trophies, he's used to doing that, he's used to winning things.
"But it can't always be perfect, he's had a perfect run almost through his career."
"For Ronaldo not to have Champions League music running in his ears on a European night, I don't know what he'll think if he has to hear some other music playing."
