He was full of praise for Jack Grealish en route to Champions League glory last season, with the winger signing from Villa in 2021.
And he used the England international to tease fans of Unai Emery's side about their chances of success this campaign as their former captain continues to add to his ever-growing trophy collection.
Gallagher was performing at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham at the weekend with his band the High Flying Birds.
In a clip that has gone viral on social media, he questioned some jeers from the crowd and thought it was due to him not playing Oasis hit 'Talk Tonight'.

"Oh is this some Aston Villa s*** going on?" he asked upon seemingly hearing a chant, with some people cheering and others booing.
With Villa currently third in the Premier League and ahead of City, Gallagher then questioned: "Do you think you're going to win the league?"
However, he was quick to shut down any optimism that Villans fans had, as he simply stated: "You're gonna win f*** all."
Gallagher then poked fun at Villa supporters by reminding them about their former star Grealish, who has won five trophies since leaving.

Grealish has endured an underwhelming season for City so far as he has only scored three goals in 19 appearances - though all of his strieks have come in his last three top-flight outings.

City are currently in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for the Club World Cup and a win in the final against Fluminense on Friday would see them lift their second trophy of the season after the UEFA Super Cup.
