McCoist and Ferdinand wildly celebrated Rangers opener, but then Liverpool woke up

Ally McCoist and Rio Ferdinand celebrated Rangers' opener against Liverpool in the most hilariously passionate way possible.

The talkSPORT host and Gers legend was screaming in delight as he hugged Manchester United icon Ferdinand during the celebrations.

And to their side was former Red Michael Owen, who couldn't help but smile at their reactions despite his old team going a goal down.

The celebrations at Ibrox were understandable with Scott Arfield scoring their first Champions League goal of the campaign in delightful fashion.

It was also the Scottish side's first in the Champions League proper since 2010, and the in stadium cameras were left shaking by the crowd's reaction.

McCoist was clearly overjoyed with his old side, while Ferdinand showed how much space Man United still take in his heart.

The six-time Premier League winner adores the team he was with from 2002 to 2014, and could only take glee in seeing their rivals suffer.

"GO ON! GO ON! GO ON!" Ferdinand shouted as Arfield was played into acres of space by Ryan Jack, slicing through Liverpool's back line.

After yells of joy, McCoist then fired out the fist pumps, as Owen scratched his head in shock.

Luckily for the former England striker, his boyhood side then pumped in seven goals, leaving McCoist distraught.
