However, Spanish official Carlos del Cerro Grande seemingly forgot to send the Frankfurt right-back off after his second booking.
It sparked mass confusion among both sets of players and Spurs surrounded the referee to remind him of the first offence - which occurred just four minutes earlier.

Eventually, after an unexplained delay, the referee remembered to dismiss Tuta and reduce Frankfurt to ten men.
Reacting on talkSPORT, commentator Sam Matterface speculated whether Tuta was actually thrown yellow cards before seeing red.
Two fouls occurred during the second offence, with advantage played for Son after the first.
Del Cerro frantically waved his yellow card, appearing to indicate that Tuta was being punished for both cynical fouls.
