The 22-year-old midfielder was a favourite under Frank Lampard, who was sacked on Monday and replaced by former PSG boss Tuchel.
Mount has started the last ten games for Chelsea in all competition, meaning his omission from the side to face Wolves, as reported by The Sun, could be nothing but a routine rest.
However, many will look at Tuchel's first team selection as an indicator of which Chelsea players the German already likes, and some believe Mount won't feature as much now that Lampard is gone.
Tuchel has been tasked with getting the best out of Chelsea's summer signings, including £72million Kai Havertz, who plays a similar role to Mount.
It must be said, however, that Mount earned his place in the Blues starting XI under Lampard by being one of the club's standout performers this season, especially in recent weeks when results dipped.
The England international was given the captain's armband for the 3-1 victory over Luton in the FA Cup on Sunday, which turned out to be Lampard's last match in charge.
