Mandzukic rescinds contract at Al-Duhail and becomes a free agent

Mario Mandzukic has called time on his adventure in Qatar after just six months.

The 34-year-old joined Al-Duhail from Juventus on a free in January, but he is now a free agent heading into the summer transfer window.

"I reached an agreement with Al-Duhail 's management to terminate my contract by mutual consent," Mandzukic wrote in a tweet.

"I appreciate the trust and hospitality that I have received in Qatar and I wish the best to the club and the team in the future."

Mandzukic, who has played for the likes of Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich, amongst others, scored one goal in seven games for Al-Duhail.
