The Norwegian ended a three-game goal drought in the top flight when he headed home the second goal in a much-needed 2-0 victory for the Citizens away against Leicester City in their final match of 2024.

Haaland now has 14 goals to his name in 19 Premier League matches this season and will hope to increase his tally versus a West Ham outfit whom he has enjoyed plenty of success against in recent years.

Erling Haaland has faced West Ham United competitively a total of five times in all competitions, all in the Premier League, and has helped Manchester City come out on top on every occasion to date.

The Norwegian has scored an impressive seven goals in that time; only against RB Leipzig (12 goals in eight games) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (eight goals in five games) has the striker scored more goals against another opponent in his professional club career.

Haaland's first meeting with West Ham was in fact his Premier League debut in August 2022, shortly after completing his transfer from Borussia Dortmund, and he marked the special occasion with a brace in a 2-0 victory at the London Stadium.

Man City's No.9 was also on the scoresheet in the reverse fixture seven months later, netting the second goal in a comfortable 3-0 win at the Etihad Stadium.

Haaland scored Man City's third and final goal in a 3-1 comeback victory at West Ham the following season, but he drew a blank in front of goal in a 3-1 home win for the Citizens on the final day of the 2023-24 campaign - the only game in which the striker has failed to score versus the Hammers.

In August 2024, Haaland was back to his devastating best in the final third and netted a superb hat-trick in a 3-1 triumph away from home, scoring his first two goals in the opening half-hour before completing his treble with seven minutes to spare.
