Man City stars to reunite at Nathan Ake wedding at private villa in Majorca

Several Man City stars are expected to reunite in Majorca this weekend for the wedding of Newcastle target Nathan Ake and his fiancee Kaylee Ramman.

The Dutch pair are due to tie the knot on Saturday at a private villa on the sunshine island. Midfield playmaker Kevin de Bruyne is already in Majorca with his wife Michele Lacroix and their three children.

And respected island newspaper Diario de Mallorca says the guest list also includes Ake's teammates Jack Grealish and his girlfriend Sasha Atwood, newly-married Ilkay Gundogan and his model wife Sara Arfaoui, Raheem Sterling and his girlfriend Paige Milian and manager Pep Guardiola.

The newspaper has not revealed the exact location of the wedding venue but is reporting it is in the Tramuntana mountains, which would put it near to the luxury villa where Cristiano Ronaldo is currently staying with his family between day trips on his £5.5 million yacht.

Designer Kaylee, 27, who has dated Nathan for more than a decade, has been posting photos of Majorca on her Instagram. And she made it clear she wasn't on the island just for a holiday a few days ago after using a string of emojis including one of a ring to tell followers about the week that awaited her.

She also posted photos o her hen do, believed to have taken place in the UK, and a snap which included a bridal advice card and cup-cakes with her footballer boyfriend's face on them. Ake, 27, proposed to his partner two years ago on a yacht during a holiday in Nice.

The City defender, who was enjoying that break after this year's Premier League winners agreed to a £41 million fee to bring him back to the UK top flight, shared the pictures of him proposing at sea on Instagram and later revealed: "She said yes!". Ake, part of the Bournemouth side relegated in the 2019-20 season, was immediately congratulated by friends, teammates and ex-colleagues including Jermain Defoe and Jack Wilshere.

Kaylee, who designs sustainable swimwear from ocean plastic, said on social media when she wished her partner a Happy Birthday in February: "May this be the best year yet" in a message she ended with a ring emoji. Ake recently called the brunette "my soulmate" and also described her in another post as "my best friend and my love for almost 11 years."

The couple are thought to have been forced to postpone a previous wedding date because of the coronavirus pandemic. If half of City's team do end up travelling to Majorca for the couple's big day on Saturday it could be their last reunion with Ake off the pitch for a while.

Newcastle are said to be targeting the Dutch international, which would mean manager Eddie Howe working with him again following their time together at Bournemouth. One recent report said The Toon would be trying to get City to lower their asking price after they demanded £50 million.

Newcastle tried unsuccessfully to sign him in January and are expected to face competition from the likes of AC Milan. Ake made just 10 Premier League starts in the 2020-21 season while making 27 appearances in all competitions. The 27-cap defender has amassed 170 appearances in the Premier League, scoring 15 goals.
