Leicester fans and players pay tribute to former owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha

The Foxes' former owner tragically died in a helicopter crash three years ago when departing the ground after a 1-1 draw with West Ham.

Ahead of their match against Brighton in the Carabao Cup - the first time a game has been scheduled on the anniversary of the tragedy - a series of tributes took place.

First, players and staff visited the memorial garden which was opened on the one-year anniversary.

They laid flowers as a mark of respect before heading into the stadium for the match.

Fans arriving in the ground then had their opportunities to pay tribute.

Placed on the seats were clappers with a picture of Srivaddhanaprabha and the message, 'Always in our hearts.'

There were also scarves which read, 'Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha' on one side and, 'Forever in our hearts' on the other.

There was an impeccably observed minute's silence before kick-off.

A banner also floated over fans in the stand, again with the message, 'Always in our hearts.'
