Crystal Palace monitoring Everton midfielder Tom Davies?

sportsmole.co.uk, 28 September 2021, 10:52
Crystal Palace are reportedly keeping tabs on Everton midfielder Tom Davies, with his future at Goodison Park remaining uncertain.

Despite being a member of the squad since 2016, Davies has yet to start a game in the Premier League under new manager Rafael Benitez, which has led to speculation about his future at the club.

The midfielder is a product of Everton's academy and has gone to make 132 appearances for the senior team.

However, according to a report by Football Insider, Crystal Palace are now monitoring him as a potential summer signing as Davies has yet to make his mark this season.

Patrick Vieira did bring in two central midfielders during the most recent transfer window, with Will Hughes and Conor Gallagher joining the club, but due to the fact that the latter will be returning to Chelsea at the end of the season, a permanent signing is on his mind.

Davies has been with Everton since he was 11 years old, but his current contract is set to expire in 2023 and there have been no talks about a new deal.

Messi's "surprising" dressing room behaviour proves he's not like Ronaldo
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have been considered the two best footballers in the world for the past decade. But the pair are also different in a number of ways both on and off the pitch, as Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi's recent admission about Messi proved.
