The Eagles winger, 23, has been out since May when he suffered an Achilles injury in training.
Despite initial fears the blow could rule Eze out until 2022, the Englishman is recovering ahead of schedule.
He played 62 minutes for the Palace youth team against Blackburn and delivered a solid performance before coming off unscathed.
The former QPR forward enjoyed an exciting breakthrough season for Palace during the 2021/22 campaign - and it is understood Gareth Southgate was preparing to pick Eze for England's provisional Euro 2020 squad before the injury.
His return to the Eagles' first-team, which is expected within weeks, comes at an exciting time for Patrick Vieira's men, who just beat Manchester City at the Etihad.
"The day I come back is going to be beautiful for me," Eze said recently.
"A beautiful experience stepping out with the fans. I haven't experienced all the fans before. It's going to be like my debut all over again. Amazing.
"I'm just enjoying watching the team right now because they're playing so well and they're doing exactly what I would have hoped in this team. It's great to watch that and, seeing that, I just can't wait to get back and to join them."
