Conte is building a frightening attack at Tottenham

Antonio Conte joined a Tottenham side in November 2021 that was sitting ninth in the Premier League and that had been out of the Champions League for two seasons.

The Italian has since revolutionised the team, helping them leapfrog Arsenal to the final Champions League spot and, now, he is being backed in the transfer market.

Spurs, who tend to be tight in the market, have just signed Everton's Richarlison to add to the free transfer of Ivan Perisic. Alongside Harry Kane, Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski, they stand to have one of the most fearsome front lines in Europe.

"The Champions League changes your life," said Conte after clinching a spot in Europe's top competition.

"We need to improve the squad in terms of quality and numbers," he added.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and sporting director Fabio Paratici have responded by signing four players in the first weeks of the window.

Tottenham have snapped up Richarlison (69.5 million euros from Everton), as well as Yves Bissouma (29.2m from Brighton), Ivan Perisic (free from Inter) and Fraser Forster (free from Southampton).

Despite having almost spent 100m euros already, Spurs are not done as they are said to be close to signing 21-year-old right-back Djed Spence from Middlesbrough.
