So much so that officials from the club have come out three times to confirm they have no interest in the Manchester United superstar.
The Bundesliga club had been linked with a move for the 37-year-old as Robert Lewandowski is destined to join Barcelona.
The Spanish club confirmed they had an agreement to sign the much vaunted striker after a very public pursuit, and equally public insistence from Lewandowski that he wanted to try somewhere new.
It leaves Bayern without a blockbuster centre-forward, even though they have already signed Sadio Mane from Liverpool.
On paper, Ronaldo to Bayern made sense. The Portugal international wants to leave Manchester United in search of Champions League football.
That is something Bayern can offer and his huge wages would unlikely be a problem with Lewandowski off their bill.
But the club has strongly denied any interest in signing the forward.
Firstly, sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic, told Sport1: "I have a lot of respect for Cristiano Ronaldo, his successes and his career.
"But once again, that was and is not a topic for us."
Manager Julien Nagelsmann was quizzed on the links and told Bild: "I read that too, but that's NOT TRUE."
The club's CEO Oliver Kahn explained in a little more detail why Ronaldo to Bayern was nothing more than media speculation.
He told Bild: "I love Cristiano Ronaldo and everyone knows what a fantastic player he is. But every club has a certain philosophy and I'm not sure if it would be the right signal for Bayern if we signed him."
