Antonio Conte intends to turn his Spurs side into "killers" after they almost threw away victory against Vitesse.
The Spurs boss, whose men now face Everton in the Premier League on Sunday, said: "I don't like this type of game, this crazy game. I want a stable team, when there is the possibility to kill the opponent you must kill."
Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane launched a stunning Europa Conference League blitz on Vitesse to go 3-0 up inside the first half hour.
But the visitors, who ended up with nine men, fought back superbly in the first half with goals from defender Jacob Rasmussen and midfielder Matus Bero, while Cristian Romero was also sent off for the hosts.

Conte added: "It was a crazy game. Usually I don't like this type of game - a crazy game means anything can happen. But at the same time I think we should win and we won.
"We were winning 3-0 then conceded two goals we can avoid. After a red card we were in trouble. To win while suffering is good for this team, these players.
"They needed to improve their confidence. They needed to work a lot. The problem is we have to find the time to work. We have two days until the next game [they play Everton on Sunday], then it's the international break."
Spurs, playing a 3-4-3 formation, went down to ten men after record signing, defender Romero, was red-carded for a 59th-minute lunge on substitute Lois Openda.

But Vitesse were then down to ten men themselves when skipper Danilho Doekhi went for dragging Kane back with the England captain preparing to race in on goal.
Spurs' task was made easier six minutes from the end Vitesse had another player sent off when keeper Markus Schubert handled Emerson Royal's shot outside the box.
