The skipper of the Swiss side was caught running over to the Man City star at the break to try and get his jersey.
Young Boys were 2-0 down at the time on a night that ended in a 3-0 defeat as Pep Guardiola's side secured their spot in the last 16 of the competition.
Exchanging shirts is part and parcel of what happens after the full-time whistle, but doing so at half-time - when the competitive match is still ongoing - goes against football etiquette.
Audio from the incident appeared to reveal Haaland saying 'you cannot do this'.
Speaking after the match, Young Boys' boss Wicky was asked about the incident and said: "I didn't see that. That's news to me.

"Yeah honestly, I'm a little bit surprised about that right now.
"On the other hand I don't think it has anything to do with the game or the performance, but I'll probably have a word with him to see what he thought.
"Also maybe Erling [Haaland] asked him to change the shirt, I don't know."

Speaking during TNT Sport's coverage, he said: "100 per cent not having it. Is that clear? That is embarrassing. Not having it at all, mate."
And on Wednesday morning, he doubled down on his views, telling Alan Brazil on talkSPORT: "It's a nonsense.
"I don't have a problem with players swapping jersey's at the end of the game and I've done it many times. That's the correct etiquette.
"I've seen it done myself. [Paul] Gascoigne did it but it was a completely different issue. It was the Scotland/England game at Euro 96 and I'd asked him a few weeks before for his top for one of my boys.
"I didn't realise Stuart McCall had already asked, so at half-time, it was 0-0, he ran up behind [McCall], took his top off and threw it at him and carried on running into the England dressing room and that was it. Then, at the end of the game I got his second half one, so I think that's acceptable."
