The Red Devils appointed Rangnick as their new interim manager following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as manager.
The German has signed a six-month contract and will then move onto a consultancy role for two years after leaving his position at Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow.
But when will Rangnick be in the dugout for the first time? talkSPORT.com takes a look…
Who will take charge for Man United against Chelsea?
Michael Carrick has taken charge of United's two fixtures since Solskjaer's exit.
The former midfielder was handed temporary charge after the club parted ways with the Norwegian following the 4-1 horror-show at Watford.
Carrick's first outing as manager helped United hit back last week with a 2-0 Champions League win over Villarreal.
He was then in the dugout for their 1-1 draw at Chelsea on Sunday.
And Carrick will remain in charge for Thursday's Premier League against Arsenal, the club have confirmed.
United announced Rangnick as the new interim manager on Monday, but his work visa is yet to be finalised.
What will happen to Michael Carrick now?
It is expected that Carrick will return to his coaching role he has been in since his own retirement from playing following Rangnick's arrival.
According to the Telegraph, Rangnick will only be bringing a small number of coaches with him, including Lars Kornetka, who worked with him at RB Leipzig.
Following confirmation of his appointment, Rangnick vowed to get the best out United's squad during his short tenure.
"The squad is full of talent and has a great balance of youth and experience," he said.
"All my efforts for the next six months will be on helping these players fulfil their potential, both individually and, most importantly, as a team.
"Beyond that, I look forward to supporting the club's longer-term goals on a consultancy basis."
