Manchester City will hope to reignite their title charge when they host Brentford just days after being held to a draw by Chelsea.

The Citizens have slipped to four points behind Liverpool at the top of the league following a 1-1 draw with the Blues but still have a game in hand.

Pep Guardiola's men had been starting to hit their stride before the draw against Chelsea ended their run of six straight Premier League wins.

Fortunately for City, they have another game just days later with an instant chance to put things right.

Why are Man City playing on Tuesday?

City will face Brentford at home on Tuesday, just three days after welcoming Chelsea to the Etihad.

The reason City have two matches in Gameweek 25 is because of their Club World Cup campaign in December.

The Citizens were meant to face Brentford on December 23, but that was postponed due to their participation in the latter stages of the Club World Cup, which they won.

This clash is not being shown live on TV due to the original fixture being set to take place during the Saturday 3pm blackout.

Premier League broadcast rules dictate that if a game not picked for television coverage is postponed, then the rearranged match is not able to be shown on TV - even if it has been rescheduled to a more agreeable time.
