Spurs moved quickly to appoint the Italian just a day after Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked.
He signed an initial 18-month contract and was pictured in full Tottenham gear on Tuesday afternoon as he observed a training session just hours after penning his contract.
The club announced Conte had met the players and watched them in action but did not take the session himself.
WIth that in mind, will he be in the dugout for Thursday's Europa Conference League clash against Vitesse? talkSPORT.com takes a look…
When is Antonio Conte's first Tottenham game?
According to Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Spurs are still working on a work permit for the former Chelsea boss.
Yet the required documents are set to take a few days to arrive - meaning Conte and his staff face a race against the clock to be in charge on Thursday.
If no resolution can be made though, the Italian's first match bossing Spurs will be against Everton on Sunday.
Conte would then be forced to wait until after the November international break for his inaugural home game at the club when Spurs host Leeds.
Does he have a visa to start work?
As Conte and his coaching staff are coming to the UK from another country, they are all still waiting on work permits as things stand.
Football London report that Tottenham are hopeful they will be in place for Thursday morning so Conte can lead his new side out for the Vitesse clash.
It is yet to be announced who would be in charge for Thursday's fixture if Conte's paperwork isn't signed in time.
Ryan Mason would likely be in the running as former interim manager while sporting director Fabio Paratici will be taking Spurs' next press conference.
Is there any issues with COVID?
Nope, considering Conte was allowed to observe training on Tuesday.
UK Government rules state that fully vaccinated people arriving from Italy must complete a passenger locator form before arrival and then return a negative COVID-19 test within two days.
The Telegraph also claim Conte was allowed to sleep at the club's training ground ahead of meeting Spurs staff and players.
The report adds that the 52-year-old again spent last night at Tottenham's state-of-the-art accommodation as he settles into his new job.
