January is usually the month in which Premier League clubs can take stock on how the season is going and how far they are from achieving their goals.
And for that reason it is vital for England's top-flight clubs to start the new year with three points during a notoriously busy time of the campaign.
Arsenal will start 2022 by taking on champions and Premier League leaders Manchester City while Chelsea will welcome Liverpool to Stamford Bridge in a couple of blockbuster fixtures in early January.
The latter two teams last met on New Year's Day back in 2005 when Joe Cole netted a late winner for the Blues at Anfield against his future team.
As was the case with the Boxing Day matches, Manchester United will once again be involved in the only game after the rest of the Premier League have played.
The Red Devils will be keen to put down an early marker in the new year in front of the Old Trafford faithful when they host Wolves on Monday, January 3.
It's sure to be a thrilling period of Premier League football and talkSPORT.com has all the details…
