Wednesday's National League predictions including Sutton vs. Gateshead

Aldershot vs. Southend (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Aldershot Town and Southend United square off on Wednesday evening looking for the win that will move them away from the National League relegation zone.

Both clubs are currently locked on the same points in 16th and 15th position in the standings respectively.

With both clubs ending winless streaks at the weekend, they will be confident of replicating that effort on Wednesday. For us, though, we are backing Southend to come through with the three points, potentially by the odd goal in three.

Altrincham vs. Hartlepool (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Altrincham and Hartlepool United square off on Wednesday evening with the opportunity to make considerable inroads up the National League standings.

These two clubs sit in 14th and 17th position respectively, within touching distance as high up as eighth spot.

We say: Altrincham 1-1 Hartlepool United

Hartlepool have reason to feel that they are the marginal favourites for this contest. Nevertheless, the home side showed their resolve against a higher-ranked North East opponent at the weekend, something that leads us to predict a hard-fought share of the spoils here.

Boston vs. Fylde (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Boston United and Fylde will both be looking to record key victories at the bottom of the National League table when they square off on Wednesday evening.

The home side, who are in 22nd position, trail their opponents who are a place higher by three points, each side at risk of being cut adrift without putting together a run of positive form.

We say: Boston United 1-2 Fylde

In terms of form, there is not too much to separate these teams right now, yet we cannot ignore how Boston capitulated in the FA Cup last week. With that in mind, we are backing a narrow triumph for the away side.

Solihull vs. Woking (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Solihull Moors will look to extend their unbeaten run to six competitive matches when they play host to Woking on Wednesday.

The home side are currently sitting in 10th place in the National League table, while the visitors are five points further back in 18th position.

Solihull will be full of confidence after beating the league leaders at Damson Park, and we think they will produce another strong home performance to get the better of a Woking side that are winless in six league games.

Sutton vs. Gateshead (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Aiming to close the gap on the top three in the National League table, Gateshead will travel to The Borough Sports Ground to face Sutton United for matchday 15 of the season on Wednesday evening.

The hosts sit 13th in the standings with 19 points from 14 outings, while the visitors are currently in fourth with 27 points from their 14 fixtures.
