Barcelona remain without the services of Fati, who picked up a foot injury at the end of last month, and it is currently unclear when the Spaniard could return to action.

Ronald Araujo

Status: Out

Type of injury: Hamstring

Possible return date: Unknown

Araujo will be on the sidelines until the latter stages of this year due to the hamstring operation that he underwent in the middle of July.

Pedri

Status: Out

Type of injury: Knee

Possible return date: August 24 (vs. Athletic Bilbao)

Pedri is not yet ready to return, but he is in the latter stages of his recovery from the knee issue that he suffered while representing Spain at Euro 2024, so it is possible that the midfielder will face Athletic Bilbao on August 24.

Frenkie de Jong

Status: Out

Type of injury: Ankle

Possible return date: Unknown

De Jong missed the end of last season with an ankle problem and was also absent for Netherlands at Euro 2024. The midfielder has not been involved in Barcelona's pre-season, meanwhile, and he is also set to miss out against Valencia, with a return date unclear at this stage of proceedings.

Gavi

Gavi is still recovering from the serious knee injury that he suffered while representing Spain towards the end of last year, but the midfielder is expected back before the end of 2024.
