Cerny found himself at the centre of a bizarre and controversial water-squirting incident during Rangers' exhilarating late 3-2 win over Celtic at Parkhead on Sunday.
He ignited outrage among the home supporters after squirting water towards the Hoops fans whilst celebrating Hamza Igbal's last-gasp winner.
The Czech winger became the focus of the post-match conversations after TV cameras captured his antics during the jubilant celebration.
Police and security were called to intervene amidst the furious reactions from spectators in that section of Parkhead.
Both authorities and the Scottish Football Association are probing this emotionally charged occurrence.

In the aftermath of the derby, Celtic issued a statement expressing their concerns about members of the away team engaging with their supporters, reaching out to the relevant authorities.
The shirt is proving tremendously popular on Matchwornshirt, with 12 days left for bidding to unfold.
At the time of writing, the leading offer currently stands at a staggering £24,000, with a section on the website outlining the noble cause behind the winning bid.
It reads: "The funds from the shirts will be used to continue the development and growth of the club and will be used for various projects."

The 27-year-old, currently on loan at Rangers from Wolfsburg, is representing the Czech Republic on international duty for their World Cup qualifying double-header against the Faroe Islands and Gibraltar.
Though he's momentarily out of the spotlight in Glasgow, he found himself cornered by the Prague media outlet iSport Blesk and discussed the incident.
He suggested it was unintentional and that he was just caught up in the moment.
"I don't want to say too much, I can't. I find it a bit absurd," Cerny explained.
"The stands are so close; to have open water… I didn't even know what was happening at that moment. I just ran. It's a derby."
Rangers legend, and talkSPORT host, Ally McCoist absolutely loved what Cerny did and joked he should get a knighthood.
"I think he's definitely recharged it. Because I think two minutes prior to it, he's actually gone around four or five bottles and topped one up.
"He specifically got that guy. Something happened there.
"I watched him about 411 times. Honestly, I could not believe it.
"The best thing is, he gets back into the dugout and he's waving."
When asked if something is going to happen, McCoist said: "I think so. It's absolutely a knighthood, I would have thought.
"I like the sound of that. Sir Vaclav Cerny. It's got a nice ring to it, hasn't it?"
No official confirmation from Rangers, or the authorities, has been given about whether Cerny will face any punishment.
This isn't the first time a match-worn shirt has commanded an astonishing price online.
Cole Palmer's shirt, where he smashed a Premier League record last October by becoming the first player to score four goals in a single half, also fetched an impressive amount.
The signed shirt went for £34,411 to a buyer in Singapore, cementing it as the seventh most valuable shirt sold on MatchWornShirt.
It placed him among football legends like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kylian Mbappe in an elite top 10 of sales on the site, and is the most valuable shirt not previously worn by Messi or Ronaldo.
